When: Tue., July 18, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Set in 1845, Meek’s Cutoff follows a group of settlers as they embark on a punishing journey along the Oregon Trail. When their guide leads them astray, the expedition is forced to contend with the unforgiving conditions on the high plain desert. The fourth annual Briscoe Museum Film Series is dedicated to Women of the West. This summer we present four films with strong female protagonists—each complex, unique, and a far cry from a damsel in distress.
