Hooters

Flying Saucer
To be sure, this is a beer emporium. But the tiny tartan skirts worn by the “beer goddesses” tell another story. While the lineup of more than 200 beers keeps evolving, the menu has surprising hits in the way of a soft pretzel and a tasty Turkey Meltdown sandwich with smoked turkey, avocado, lettuce, tomato and Swiss with jalapeño-pesto mayo.

Hooters
There’s a lot to be said about the chain that started it all (“Gee, thanks” is probably the phrase I’d use most). With three locations in San Antonio, the owl has a certain hold over the Alamo City crowd. Where else are you going to get your fill of wings and Lycra?

Lion & Rose British Restaurant & Pub
Does San Antonio have a strong British contingent, or do we just enjoy fish ’n’ chips as delivered by scantily clad birds? Regardless, the franchise gives Hooters a run for its money with its standard bar fare and four locations scattered across town. It’s not all boobs and booze, either. The locations offer Geeks Who Drink pub quizzes on various weeknights.

MadDog’s
You’re getting more than just a view of the Riverwalk at MadDog’s. As the only establishment on this list to boast vegetarian options on its menu, we’ve got to hand it to MDs for not just focusing on the double DDs.

Twin Peaks
Billed as the ultimate man cave, Twin Peaks focuses on comfort food, frosty beers and a “knockout view.” One can only assume that the success of the first location and the over-abundance of breastaurants™ have led to the upcoming opening a second TP’s at Westover Marketplace. Oh. Joy.
