WINNER: Alamo Drafthouse
> After Tim and Karrie League sold the Alamo Drafthouse brand in 2004, new locations began to pop up everywhere across Texas, including the first in San Antonio (Westlakes) that same year. At the time, it was the biggest Drafthouse theater ever built (nine screens). Since then, two more venues — Park North and Stone Oak — opened in 2009 and 2010, respectively. All three locations continue to offer San Antonians a unique movie-going experience. Along with all the first-run films and specialty signature series like Tough Guy Cinema, Afternoon Tea and Girlie Night, moviegoers should circle their calendars for events like the Army of Darkness Quote-Along (April 20), the Totally '80s Sing-Along (April 24 and 27) and an Alien vs. Aliens Double Feature (April 26). On April 28, give yourself over to absolute pleasure with a screening of a punk-rock version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
