Natural Beauty: Fiesta Land, Water, and Sky at the Witte Museum celebrates the natural beauty of Texas at a time of great significance for San Antonio’s largest museum. This is the first Fiesta exhibition in the New Witte, which opens in March 2017. The theme was selected because the unique land, water and sky of Texas serve as the underlying theme for the permanent exhibitions at the Witte. From rolling prairies filled with wild flowers to starry skies that spark the imagination, this exhibition will explore the theme of land, water, and sky through the museum’s collection of Order of the Alamo Coronation robes.
