Dance Kaleidioscope 2017 ends the 33rd season of the San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet by exploring classical and contemporary dance with music by Igor Stravinsky, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Nils Frahm, Ludovico Einaudi, and Olafur Arnolds. It opens with a variety of neo-classical and contemporary works and closes with George Skibine’s “The Firebird,” staged by Thom Clower. San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet’s presentation of “The Firebird” will be a premier for San Antonio audiences. With original costumes from the Harkness and Paris Opera Ballet companies, this production promises to be visually and auditorily stunning.
