Voices & Vibes is a magical mix of poetry and live music featuring a series of readings and uplifting music by award-winning poets with Rudi Harst and the Circle Band. Each Sunday will feature a different poet with Lahab Assef Al-Jundi on April 2, Naomi Shihab Nye April 9, Lesléa Newman April 23 and Amanda Flores April 30. “This series promises to be one of the standouts among the many National Poetry Month events being held in San Antonio in April,” says Zet Baer, cultural activist and co-founder of the Celebration Circle. “The combination of each of these dynamic presenters reading their works interwoven with lively music will provide layers of experiential delight for attendees.” “Voices & Vibes” is produced by the Celebration Circle of San Antonio, an inter-faith, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization with a creative, affirmative and inclusive approach to spirituality. The purpose of this event is to focus on the vital role that poetry plays in building multi-cultural understanding, as well as to honor and nurture the Sacred in ourselves, each other and all creation, expressed in ways that support people of all faiths – or no faith – alike.
