Know what’s more charming than one nerd writing a lit blog? Two nerds writing a lit blog! In one blog, you’ll get double the bang for your one click.
Now, we can’t promise LIT-url will be able to review every single book ever published, or interview every local/South Texas writer, or even comb through the racks at Broadway News for the most obscure zines out there, but we can guarantee we’ll be advocates for literary arts in and around San Antonio.
We’re lifelong book lovers. We read magazines religiously. We educate ourselves with the works of Gregg Barrios, Sandra Cisneros, and Carmen Tafolla, as well as honor the writings of the late Ai, and others. One of us can’t fall asleep without reading a few pages from the book-of-the-week.
We plan to focus on book reviews, interviews with San Antonio/South Texas writers, and discuss the insurgence of the small-book press. In short, we promise to geek out over any and all things literary arts-related.
Let us know your thoughts! Do you have a favorite book you think we should discuss? Favorite local writer you’d like us to interview? You publish your own zine? We want in on that! Send your comments, suggestions, and queries to email@example.com. — Jennifer Herrera & Leticia Medina
