Fresh off headlining Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival, Kaskade is selling out stages all across the U.S. on his Freaks of Nature Tour. With a reputation as one of the most creative talents on the DJ scene, he’s released remixes for Beyoncé and Usher and shared the stage with Deadmau5, Swedish House Mafia, and Tiesto. Last year’s Fire and Ice is ear candy for any electronic music purist with a penchant for beautiful melodies and climatic drops. Incorporating euphoric synths with the sensual vocals of Skylar Grey and Dan Black (lead singer of the Neon Trees), the album is a soundtrack to late nightclub escapades. Any show by Kaskade — who hasn’t been to San Antonio since 2009 — is nothing short of a spectacle. As pulsating synths strike a beat, green and yellow lights shine across a sea of people adorned in neon clad tank tops, flower wreaths, and colorful, elaborate costumes.
