Since retiring from his post as the world’s most celebrated Marilyn Monroe impersonator, San Antonio’s own Jimmy James has evolved into a singer-songwriter, recording artist, and wide-ranging vocal chameleon. Following the success of his 2006 album Jamestown (powered by the global dance hit “Fashionista”), the Hollywood-based entertainer released Have Yourself a Jimmy James Merry Christmas, an album of celebrity tributes both riotous and reverent. On Thursday, James brings his third-annual holiday cabaret home to the Bonham. In addition to originals and uncanny interpretations of classics by Shirley Bassey, Eartha Kitt, Cher, Judy Garland, and Barbra Streisand, “Joy to Christmas” features James’ outrageous rendition of José Feliciano’s “Feliz Navidad”
