For its first local show of 2013, Girl in a Coma has something special in the works: a long set featuring songs from Exits & All The Rest (including the first-ever live performance of “Mother’s Lullaby,” sharing the mic with Sugar Skulls’ Jeff Escamilla and Alyson Alonzo) and a couple of seldom-played classic tracks from Both Before I’m Gone and Trio BC. Not enough? They’ll also perform two brand new songs, and the night will start with Athens, Georgia trio the Whigs and two local favorites: electrocrazy Disco Wasteland and fun Rosedale Highs. My advice: get the tickets early. All GIAC shows are packed, but this one will be more so. $13-$15; 7pm Sat, Jan 19; The White Rabbit, 2410 N St. Mary's, (210) 737-2221, frontgatetickets.com.
