Fans of the NBC series 30 Rock may recognize New York-based comic Hannibal Buress from his recurring role as the “homeless guy” (not to mention Tracy Jordan’s doppelgänger on the bogus reality show Queen of Jordan). In addition to a weekly stand-up gig at Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory, Buress (who’s also written for 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live) stars as Eric André’s sidekick on Adult Swim’s public-access parody The Eric André Show. Set largely in airports and hotels, the Chicago native’s sophomore CD and Comedy Central special Animal Furnace is filled with goofy, self-deprecating material that’s won over veterans like Chris Rock — who’s been quoted as saying, “If Steven Wright, Mos Def and Dave Chappelle had a baby, that would be disgusting, but it would sound like Hannibal Buress.” $15; 8pm Thu, Jan 24; Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club, 618 NW Loop 410, (210) 541-8805, lolsanantonio.com.
