The stars of tomorrow perform the acts of yesterday in New York’s Pretty Things Peepshow, a daring ensemble that serves up vintage vaudeville set to live swing, blues, surf, and jazz by the Peepin’ Toms. Champions of a genre they call “broadville,” the troupe — Go-Go Amy (Impresario of Undress), Lil Miss Firefly (Midget of Mischief), Vivacious Miss Audacious (Headmistress of Hula), and Mr. Donny Vomit (Dapper Dan of Danger) — balance “skill and seduction” via 20-plus acts including sword-swallowing, aerial antics, fire-eating, juggling, glass-walking, straitjacket escape, whip-cracking, and knife-throwing. Touring since 2009, the girly roadshow has been featured in music videos for Red Hot Chili Peppers and Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and appeared on Cake Boss and Celebrity Apprentice. $10, 9pm, Jack's Bar, 3030 Thousand Oak, (210) 494-2309, jacksbarsa.com.
