Make it a date night tonight at SAMA.
Valentine's Day is less than a month away, but that doesn't mean you have to wait until then to do a big romantic gesture. Tonight, the San Antonio Museum of Art is hosting Date Night Picasso
from 6 to 10 p.m. to coincide with their exhibit of Nelson Rockefeller's Picasso tapestries. (You can read our profile of the exhibit here.

SAMA is offering two-for-one admission to the Picasso exhibit, putting this activity squarely in the cheap date category. The evening includes music from Tin Pan Gentlemen Band, flamenco dancers, art making, a scavenger hunt and guided tours of the exhibit. Jason Dady's DUK Truck will be on-site, and a cash bar will be available for the obligatory date night wining and dining. SAMA is suggesting Spanish modern attire, so our suggestion is to take cues from one of Pedro Almodóvar's movies because most of the characters are so effortlessly chic.
And if you are single, you can always go to the exhibit solo and listen to Carole King's Tapestry
when you get home while crying in the corner, you know, just to keep the theme of the night going.
