It's Star Wars Day, a little-known holiday wherein hard core sci-fi fans commemorate a space opera franchise that failed to attract mainstream attention. Actually it's the day Star Wars fandom goes into hyperdrive to celebrate the epic film saga that spawned a multimedia empire. Expect a complete social media takeover today, as fans post jokes and memes and declarations that Jar Jar Binks sucks and Han Solo shot first.

Over on Twitter, fans are using the #FakeStarWarsFacts hashtag to cram feeds fake movie trivia, probably because everything that could possibly be known about the cultural juggernaut already is. Here's some of the best fact that are most certainly not canon.
