On Sunday, San Antonio's five Spanish colonial missions became the first site in the state of Texas to gain a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site designation.

To celebrate the historic occasion, Mayor Ivy Taylor and County Judge Nelson W. Wolff are hosting the first of many World Heritage events on Tuesday morning at The Alamo, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Artist Cruz Ortiz of Snake Hawk Press will screenprint limited edition T-shirts and posters to commemorate the occasion. Organizers will provide 250 T-shirts and 200 posters, but attendees may bring their own T-shirt to guarantee they can get their hands on the design.
