The San Antonio Spurs have had quite the busy off-season. To kick-off the Spurs' summer vacation, part-time basketball superstar and part-time daredevil Tim Duncan, went indoor-skydiving. Then, the dominoes began to fall. Tony Parker went to China, Kawhi Leonard went clubbing with Snoop Dogg and Tiago Splitter got lost in Atlanta somewhere along the way.

Despite the Spurs' notoriety for their crazy off-season extravaganzas and this year's aforementioned shenanigans, one could not imagine just how wild of vacation Boris Diaw has had. With help from National Geographic, Diaw is releasing a full-color chapter book for children titled Hoops to Hippos: True Stories of a Basketball Star on SafariThe book takes its readers with Diaw as he encounters dangerous animals such as lions and hippos. He also finds himself escaping from wildebeests; they might look sweet, but don't forget they're the ones who trampled Mufasa. Wow, Boris is so wild. I'm almost positive Sia's song "Wild Ones" is about our beloved Bobo and his African adventures.

For only $5.99, the book can be found online and at any place that sells books — probably. That's quite a small price to pay to learn fun-facts about wildlife from NBA Champion and San Antonio favorite, Boris Diaw. Don't worry Spurs fans, Diaw isn't going to become a full-time writer, so don't fear an extravagant live-special in which he turns away dramatically from the camera to announce he has taken his talents to Penguin Books. Just expect him to come back next year playing like a beast.
