Let's face it, San Anto is kind of nerdy. Like, a lot. So riding off the success of this weekend's San Japan 8-bit convention, the San Antonio Public Library in partnership with Alamo City Comic Con will host an Illustrator Series, celebrating local comic artists' work.

The series will kick off with a reception for Juan Carlos Ramos on Sunday, August 8 at 2 p.m. at the Encino branch (2515 E. Evans Road, 210-207-9250). His exhibit will run August 8 through October 9. Mike Fisher, of Goofa Man Productions will follow with his exhibit running at the Parman Library (20735 Wilderness Oak, 210-207-2703) from August 17 through November 6. A reception will be held August 22 at 2 p.m. a that same branch, and Fisher will host a presentation of his work on August 29 at 2 p.m. inside the Cody Library (11441 Vance Jackson, 210-207-9100).
