Unless you've been living under a totally boring, sexless rock for the last few years, you are aware that the classic art of burlesque has been on the rise. Stars and Garters Burlesque, being one of several troupes to pop up in town, will be performing their palpitations, shimmies and shakes guaranteed to set your temperature rising and your heart a-flutter at the Alamo Drafthouse's Park North location in an event entitled "The Film Strip" on Saturday, February 20 at 7pm.

The performances of the troupe, consisting of Pystol Whips, Suki Jones, Black Orchid, Coco Simone, Candy Kane, Squirrely Temple and Lucky Strike, will be your sexy dessert, which you will get to partake of first, to the main course of Leslie Zemeckis' documentary, Behind the Burly-Q, a topical look at the rise, fall and renaissance of the art of burlesque. Tickets are $25 and can only be obtained at starsandgartersburlesque.com
