Síclovía who? The South Side is jumping on the success and fun of car-free streets and will have its inaugural Surclovia on Sunday, November 19.

Headed by District 4 Councilman Rey Saldaña, the City of San Antonio and AARP, this first-ever event will give South Side residents the chance to enjoy their streets on bike or foot, free to exercise and play. Be one of the first 800 cyclists to take part in the ride and you'll earn yourself a free t-shirt.

Even if you don't score a free tee, there will be live music, wellness vendors, food trucks, senior-friendly games and special sections for kids and pets.

Surclovia takes place between 10 am and 3 pm, and will let you enjoy Pearsall Park and a section of Old Pearsall Road without the traffic. Shuttles will be available for those with low mobility, with pick-up at 5622 Ray Ellison Drive.
