For college football fans, bowl season is something of a bittersweet occasion. On the one hand, every game matters and every team is fighting for its pride and a chance at some of the bowl money; but on the other hand, the start of the bowls represents the beginning of the end of college football for the season.
So, now’s the time for devotees to catch every game they can. And, what could be better than an excellent game right in our own backyard? The Valero Alamo Bowl, which this year pits No. 13 TCU against No. 15 Stanford (a really good game with Texas ties to boot), is a must for local fans of college football looking to get all they can out of the end of another season.
