A few years ago, the best way to spot all the names on this lineup in the same place would’ve been to open the TV Guide to any primetime page at random. Veteran actors and stand-ups Cedric the Entertainer (Barbershop, The Original Kings of Comedy) Eddie Griffin (Undercover Brother, Malcolm & Eddie), D.L. Hughley (The Hughleys, The Original Kings of Comedy) and George Lopez (four different TV shows bearing some version of his name) really need no introduction to comedy fans.

Their IMDB pages have more laughs than some headliners’ entire acts. Griffin, for example, played “Pope Sweet Jesus” in Norbit and an unnamed Guest at Kid’s Bachelor Party in House Party 3, both of which are hilarious just as bullet points on a resume. Or remember when Mr. The Entertainer played Ralph Kramden in a movie remake of The Honeymooners? The BET series showing the behind-the-scenes goings-on of this latest tour kicks off with an episode titled “N-Words with Friends,” and the comics’ “assistant” is a character named White Terry, which really pisses off a sensitive reviewer, making it even funnier. If you’re offended by that, you might as well stay home.
