PechaKucha is back for Vol. 30 of its hit lecture experience. For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with the hype, PechaKucha is an enthralling lecture experience based around a Japanese format which gives speakers a six-minute-and-40-second window to discuss their topics. Presenters are allowed to display 20 images for 20 second intervals to the audience, which encourages the speakers to explain their case with purpose and drive.

The San Antonio incarnation of PechaKucha has built up a lot of energy through their last 29 episodes and has become well-known as an engaging and fast-paced event. PechaKucha’s intensity isn’t about to slow down, so get ready for an animated experience with Vol. 30’s featured speaker and presenters, which emcees anchor Randy Beamer and artist Gary Sweeney.

As usual, PechaKucha is bringing together a wide variety of individuals ready to share meaningful material with spectators. Robert Amerman, the River Foundation’s Executive Director, will be a featured speaker, as well as Trish Deberry (public relations czar), Cecil Parrish (urban farmer), Ethan Gonzãlez (emerging artist), Mónical Del Arenal (culture & arts consultant) and Jim Cullum (jazz cornetist).

This time, PechaKucha will set up at Confluence Park, an amazing space which opened earlier this year.
