Are you searching for a fun, Christmas-y event for the whole family? Well, look no further, because the San Antonio Zoo has got you covered.

In addition to being open much later than the normal closing time, Zoo Lights has a variety of great activities and sights to see. There will be camel rides, mariachi performances, hot food, lots of bright lights, and, of course, animal exhibits. It is the zoo, after all.

Santa Claus will also be making an appearance, and his workshop will be open as well. The Lakeside Lightshow, one of the many different light-themed attractions at Zoo Lights, will feature a custom soundtrack composed of dubstep, EDM and hip-hop. If you get hungry while viewing the spectacular sights, then you can swing by Mrs. Claus' Cocina for some Tex-Mex cuisine.

The Zoo Lights will be open daily through December 31. Hours are noon to 9 p.m. from Sunday-Friday, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday.  Get our top picks for the best events in San Antonio every Thursday morning. Sign up for our Events Newsletter.
