The brainchild of artists Stuart Allen and Cade Bradshaw, Bridge Projects hosts workshops for people of all ages to crack their knuckles and put those creative muscles to work. At its latest event, attendees will sculpt a working lamp from paper.

Each ticket holder will leave with a hanging light that resembles a fluffy cumulus cloud lit from behind by the sun, which will make for a perfect gift just in time for the holiday season (that is, if you’re willing to part with your beautiful handiwork). Allen and Bradshaw will provide guidance throughout, and light refreshments will be on hand if the creative process leaves you a bit peckish. Nota bene: The workshop is suitable for all ages, but children will require an adult’s guiding hand.

$45, Sat Dec. 15, noon-3:30pm, Artpace, 445 N. Main Ave., (210) 212-4900, artpace.org.
