Manu Ginobili Said He's Nervous About His Retirement Ceremony

It may be more than three months away, but Spurs legend Manu Ginobili is already plenty nervous about his retirement ceremony.

On March 28, the Spurs franchise will retire No. 20 in honor of Ginobili's longtime and iconic tenure with the Silver & Black. As for Ginobili, he knows the event will be extremely emotional.



"Quite possibly, I will cry... I do not think I'll have a good time because of the nerves," Ginobili said. "It's a huge honor, but my hands are sweating when I think of what I have to say."

In all honesty, Manu could simply flash his smile and most of the AT&T Center would be in tears just from that.



The future Hall of Famer spoke to an Argentine newspaper last week and described the outpouring of messages he received when he announced his retirement in August.

"What moved me the most were the messages from those close to me," he said. "I am not one to keep many memories, but there were a couple of emails that I said, 'I'm going to keep them.'"

Ginobili has already had one retirement ceremony of sorts with his appearance with the retirement club in this year's H-E-B commercials.
