You’ve definitely heard of Toys for Tots — but how about Tats for Tots? Yeah, we know the tagline is a little odd at first glance, but Flesh Electric Tattoo is utilizing their platform to give back this holiday season. The Northside shop has decided to donate 100-percent of their proceeds from Saturday, December 18th to The Children's Shelter in San Antonio. So if you’ve been thinking about getting some new ink, Saturday is your lucky day.
“A lot of tattoo artists are primarily concerned with winning trophies,” said Flesh Electric Owner Jacob Valdez. “But this year, we want to help put presents under the tree for needy families. We’ve all gotten help from others at some point. As small business owners, we need to give back.”
The shop has 150 small designs that are über cheap ($15 minimum donation each!) and ready to go for Saturday. Of course, artists will gladly do custom work as well. The shop is encouraging cash on that day to avoid credit card fees, but they will be donating 100-percent of all money that comes in. Flesh Electric, 502 Embassy Oaks, is located a few doors down from Oasis Lounge and Wiseguys in the Embassy Oaks shopping strip, and the event runs from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
