This is truly the gift that keeps on giving: The Cockasian Food Truck which was banned from Port of SA earlier this week after being deemed too risque has been getting around, news-wise at least. This time, the spicy Asian truck with the saucy name was featured during Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update.
Weekend Update's new co-anchor Colin Jost said San Antonio residents were upset over the truck, which kind of lumps all of us into this nay-saying group. The punchline, of course, was that "internet users were expecting very different results." Cockasian was sandwiched between the one of two jokes on cool-as-fuck Pope Francis and Arby's.
The truck was slated to make its public debut at The Point Park & Eats Sunday, March 9, but the weather gods nixed that idea. The truck will open next Sunday, March 16 at The Point, rain or shine.
Cockasian's Facebook and website are now the top two entries that pop up during a Google search, but the Urban Dictionary definition still comes in third. Keep that in mind, future business owners: Search Engine Optimization matters.
