Friday, June 13:Sandy Oaks Olive Orchard will open its doors to host an exotic marketplace featuring the tastes of Israel. Food and beverage director, Chris Cook, formerly of Double Tree’s Emily Morgan Hotel, will feature za’atar spice, preserved lemons and tahini sauce and pair them with local veggies, goats and turkey. Saturday, June 14: Beer Fest hits Central Market and that means customers can learn a plethora of ways to pair food with brews. Visit with Alaskan Brewery’s brewmaster during this demonstration that pairs seafood and spice with Alaskan’s Freeride American Pale Ale, Icey Bay IPA, White Ale and Amber. Sunday, June 15: Father’s Day is almost here. Spend time with your vader during this Cooking with Dad class at Sur La Table.
