First Course: SA Beer Festival and jazz brunch with Culinaria

Pairing wine and a fabulous four-course dinner is one of the best nights you will ever have. Thankfully, The Palm (233 E Houston). will be hosting a wine dinner series with Ceretto, a respected wine producer from Piedmont. This gorgeous dinner is happening Thursday, October 9 so RSVP for this event ASAP. The cost to attend is $150.

If you think a night of art, music, and cocktails sounds like a good time you need to get ready for Art Party at the San Antonio Museum of Art (200 W Jones). It’s all going down Friday, October 10  from 6-8 P.M. Grab some friends and jam to music by D.T. Buffkin, sip on some cocktails in the West Courtyard, and even learn about about the building that was originally built as the Lone Star Brewery. The event is free with museum admission.

The Current has a fun event on tap with the San Antonio Beer Festival happening Saturday, October 18 from 1-6 P.M. at Maverick Park (1000 Broadway). Sample over 200 craft and premium beers, enjoy great food, listen to live music, and check out so much more. Open your calendars for Sunday, October 19 at 11 A.M. to get in on the new tradition that is the Culinaria Jazz Brunch at the Shops at La Cantera. This is the perfect way to kick off a day of art at La Cantera with delicious cocktails and food prepared by Chef Rob Fleming of Magnolia Pancake Haus (multiple locations).

Can you say, “Tequila Dinner”? Indulge in the fall with The Tequila Dinner, an intimate high-end tequila tasting and a delicious dinner prepared by chef Johnny Hernandez at Casa Hernan (411 E Cevallos) on Thursday, October 23. The cost is $200. If you can’t make it, there will still be a weekend of events celebrating agave hosted by Culinaria.

Kick off the Halloween season with a family friendly All Hallows Eve Dinner and Ghost Tour at the Haunted Menger Hotel (204 Alamo Plaza). This fun event kicks off Friday, October 24 and runs through Saturday, November 1. The cost is $65-$67 for each adult and $40 for kids under 12.
