The Quarry Farmers and Ranchers Market
, one of the city's premier farmers markets is losing its home after three years. According to a Facebook post, the market received a letter of early termination from the Alamo Quarry Shopping Center last Thursday. Heather Hunter, co-founder of the market, which has helped launch businesses such as Bakery Lorraine
(which you can read more about in this week's Food section
) and La Panaderia
, is asking market-goers to express their sentiments to the Quarry's management, urging supporters to "not accept this as a final decision," she said via phone call.
"If you feel this is unjust or unfair or wrong, please express your concern to the following management persons at American Assets Trust in San Diego, the owner of the Alamo Quarry Shopping Center.

Your last chance to shop at the market, unless something changes, is Sunday, December 7.
The farmers market, which sees 2,500 to 4,000 shoppers on any given weekend, had previously tried adding a sister location at the Blue Star Art Complex.
"The next step is either finding a solution or finding a new home," Hunter said.
