The Pearl's latest eatery opens Thursday.
Open up, San Anto — there are four new eateries to try this week. Here's a quick run-down.
added a brick-and-mortar location at 2607 Vance Jackson where they'll serve breakfast, lunch and dinner of New York-style faves. Breakfast includes omelets, sandwiches, pancakes and classic American plates; lunch includes the meaty sandwiches BG is known for; and dinner includes eggplant parmesan, Sicilian parmesan and four cheese ravioli plates. Hours run 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Hot chicken coming via Cullum's Attagirl
(119 Kings Court) will quietly open its doors tomorrow with a limited menu of fried chicken and panini. The "hot chicken house," which replaces Willard's Jerk Chicken at the corner of Kings and Mistletoe, will have beer on tap inside the teensy eatery. Hours will run 4 p.m. to midnight Sunday-Thursday and 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday-Saturday; Cullum's Attagirl will close on Mondays.
San Anto is getting more options in the way of deep-dish pies via Gino's East of Chicago
, which opens its third Texas location on Thursday, April 2 at 8224 Fredericksburg Road. The location will carry Chicago-style deep-dish pizzas like the Meaty Legend, Gino's East Specialty Patty-Style Sausage Pizza, along with a few Texas-inspired items such as BBQ Brisket Za. Opening hours are 2-10 p.m. on Thursday, 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday; regular hours start April 4 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Finally, Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery
(136 E. Grayson, 210-455-5701) will let eager diners in on Thursday, April 2 at 5 p.m. for dinner. Reservations are booked for opening night, but general manager Phillipe Place encouraged others to visit Open Table
for reservations. The eatery is on the ground floor of the Pearl brewhouse; 10 house-made beers are available on tap along with other local favorites also on the wall. The menu will range from $5 for starters and sides to $35 for main entrees and boils. Southerleigh will close Easter Sunday and resume daily 5 p.m. openings on Monday, April 6. Lunch will be rolled out in the next few weeks, with brunch service tentatively coming several weeks after that. The eatery seats 150, and could expand to 250 once outdoor seating is in place.
