Yep, those are growlers in the background.
A tiny grocery opened its doors in Southtown this past Thursday. Blue Star Provisions
(1414 S. Alamo, Suite 103, 210-212-5506) is adding a much-needed convenience store to the Blue Star Arts Complex.
Though the shop, owned by Joey Villarreal, is still under a soft opening stage, they're already gaining fans with their extensive line of goods. Blue Star Provisions features soaps, pastries and baked goods, in-house roasted chicken, local produce out of Johnson’s Backyard Garden, olive oil, a bulk section, a growler station, and Element Kombucha on tap (brewed out of Alchemy Kombucha and Culture). Smoothies and cold-press juices are slated for the coming weeks.
Opening hours at 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
