Unless your mother is like Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest or Piper Laurie in Carrie or Mrs. Voorhees, it would probably be nice if you took her out for a meal on Mother's Day (Sunday, May 8). Sure, a card and flowers are a sweet gesture, but this is the woman who gave you life and put up with your shit for at least 18 years. Breakfast, lunch or dinner is the way to go this weekend, trust us. We’ll even make it easy for you: Here are 12 local restaurants featuring Mother's Day specials to help you celebrate your day out with mom.
