Alchemy Kombucha and Culture
Kombucha is on the way, San Anto.
(1123 N Flores St.) wants to shine a light on the teas behind its tasty beverages with a tasting tonight at 7 p.m., because after all, kombucha is just fermented tea.
Guests who attend the event will be able to try the teas used in Element Kombucha, which are imported by West China Tea Company, along with a flight of kombucha for $15. If visitors want food during the pairing, they can pay $5 extra for vegetarian snacks. Retail tea samples will also be available for purchase.
Nathan Davis of The Tea Syndicate
will lead the tasting, which will feature the Chinese discipline of “gong fu cha,” which “brings out the dynamic flavors and energetic qualities of high grade Chinese tea,” according to the event’s Facebook page
If you’ve never visited Alchemy, the restaurant uses seasonal ingredients bought from local Texas farmers. This season, the establishment offers a diverse menu, including braised rabbit, house ramen and vegan curry.
