Who steals ribs, honestly?
Two Bros. Jason and Jake Dady woke up to news of a few dozen cherry glazed baby backs and an entire alphabet's worth of vintage branding irons gone from their beloved barbecue joint at 12656 West Ave.
Jason took to his social media accounts to spread the news of the incident with the following message:
The chef later posted video screenshots of the assailant who knew to cover his head before breaking into the restaurant.
In total, the jerk ran off with 24 racks of ribs, and three whole briskets and the irons, which Dady considers art more than anything.
"It was a custom alphabet that were got from the owners of the original two pits we brought in from Marble Falls," Dady said over the phone.
Even with beefed up (pardon my pun) security measures after last January's break-in
by the infamous brisket bandit, the restaurant is still at the mercy of horrible people.
"At the end of the day, it's a bummer, but it is what it is," he continued. "We have cameras everywhere. They cut open the wire to get into the pit room and climb in the back. This wasn't a professional he had a fuckin' T-shirt over his head."
Keep an eye out for the branding irons, barbecue lovers.
