Starting Tuesday, September 6, Jason Dady and his staff at Tre Enoteca
(555 W. Bitters Road) are celebrating great Texas chefs and Italy in one fell swoop with the second annual Texas Chefs Week.
During said week, Dady will invite chef-pals over from across the state to takeover the Tuscan eatery and create four-course prix-fixe dinners complete with cocktail receptions. For the almost ridiculously low price of $60 (not including tax or gratuity), food-lovers will get a chance to visit with elite chefs while dining on expertly prepared local fare.
The schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, September 6: Chef Misti Norris (Dallas) of Small Brewpub
and Rising Star James Beard Award Winner will focus on the Emilia-Romagna region
Wednesday, September 7: James Beard Award Winner Philip Speer
(Austin), previously with Uchi Restaurant Group will take on Umbria.
Thursday, September 8: Chef Jason Dady
, James Beard semifinalist for Outstanding Restaurateur in 2012 and yet-t0-be-released San Antonio chefs will tackle the Toscana region.
Friday, September 9: Acclaimed Dallas and Best Chef Southwest nominee chef David Uygur of Lucia
will take your tastebuddies to Piedmont.
Saturday, September 10: Chef Jorge Hernandez
formerly at Austin's Qui and minibar by José Andrés will take you along to Calabria.
“It’s an exciting time to be cooking in Texas,” explained Dady via press release. “Each city’s culinary scene is full of reinvigorated energy and creativity, and I’m in awe of the innovative things that chefs are doing at their respective restaurants all over the state. We designed this week as a way to celebrate these chefs and introduce their unique tastes and ideas to San Antonians."
