Chef Jason Dady
is at it again. This time, he's getting a little nostalgic with it as he opens The Bin Tapas Bar inside the former home of Bakery Lorraine next week.
Modeled after the old Bin 555 at Artisans Alley, which he opened in 2006 and later closed to make way for Umai Mi, which is currently Tre Enoteca, The Bin Tapas Bar will feature throwback faves from Bin's original menu. Fans of Bin can expect to find Serrano-wrapped blue cheese dates, grilled cheese sandwiches, patatas bravas, pan tomate and new items including tortilla Española, stuffed piquillo peppers, Spanish octopus. Come weekends, guests will also be able to choose from whole pig roasts and large-format paellas.
The restaurant will also include a full bar so stay tuned for an extensive gin and tonic program and mojitos, porron
service and sangrias.
According to a press release sent out by Dady, the chef is hoping to "fill the heart of San Antonio with the fiery spirit of old town Barrio Gotico in Barcelona, Spain."
The Bin Tapas Bar will open 3-11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and 3 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
