Even if you're not familiar with the outdoor kitchen, styrofoam plate, delicious taco set-up that's Taquitos West Ave., you'll want to pencil in a restaurant visit for their second location.
Open for just under a month, Taquitos and Panaderia West Ave. is more than 2,000 square feet of taco goodness. Orders are placed at the counter and servers handle drinks (jamaica, horchata, lemonade, teas, Jarritos and sodas are all available). The new menu isn't much bigger than the at the original location, which carries cabeza, suadero, bistek, lengua, and tripa. Al pastor is available Thursday through Sunday. The meats are available to order in tacos, tortas and cheesy quesadillas. Fun taco memes are used to decorate the interiors, so get your Spanish-speaking pals to translate.
The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Next door, the Panaderia West Ave. is an aromatic and clean spot filled with conchas, empanadas, sugar cookies, maranitos, palmiers and tresh leches cakes.
