Changes are coming to The Rusty Bucket
, a southwest side barbecue joint known for its beef ribs.
Bryon Hobbs, owner of Smokin' Down South BBQ
in Stockdale, and friend Jim McShane, have partnered to takeover The Rusty Bucket previously owned by best friends, Anthony Annis and Cary Rhodes. With just two days under their belt, Hobbs and McShane are still taking stock of what changes will come to the store.
Hobbs shared a makeover is in order for the exterior of the building.
"Yesterday was our first takeover day, so we're just making sure things are squared away," Hobbs told the Current
over the phone on Thursday morning.
Menu changes might come later with new items including dessert, but for now, Hobbs and McShane are getting their footing, getting to know their clientele ("Lackland is our bread and butter from what we can tell," Hobbs said) and easing into it.
