Though most of San Antonio will hunker down this weekend in anticipation of Hurricane Harvey — the city is a designated evacuation center
, after all — some bars and restaurants are offering specials.
Here's a list of a few places to whet your whistle. Make sure to check their social media for updates. As always, stay safe out there.
The Eastside patio bar will close for Saturday and Sunday brunch, but will open at 6 p.m. on both those days. Stop by for $6 16-ounce Hurricanes.
Brass Tap at the Rim:
Brass Tap at the Rim will be open all weekend long and we will be offering happy Hour pricing starting at 4 p.m. Friday until 10pm on Sunday.
Head to the Strip to wait out the storm with $7 Hurricanes through Sunday during Chisme's Hurricane Harvey watch party.
Chef Steve McHugh will be offer his Blue Ribbon burger, and Fries, all day at a special price of $8, in addition to adding a bit of humor by serving Harvey Wall Bangers at the bar. Cured will be monitoring the storm as it nears San Antonio and is prepared to close if necessary, for the safety of his entire staff.
The Friendly Spot:
The Southtown spot will offer friends $3 all front bar pints and $5 Crispy Chicken sandwiches.
The Growler Exchange:
Stock up on growlers for the weekend. The shop will offer 15 percent off all growler fills Friday through Sunday. Hours may be fluctuating this weekend so please stay up to date on their Facebook if you plan to swing by. The shop's Hatch Chile throwdown scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled.
The Strip staple will offer Hurri-Harvey Daiquiris to keep you warm.
