If you are looking for a cheap place to grab a drink and play or watch a game with friends, Stout House has you covered.

Located off of 1604 at Bandera Road just outside of Helotes, the bar doesn't get too busy during their discounted time, which makes it the perfect place to grab a cheap drink and talk with a friend or for a casual date. If Stout House had free wi-fi, it would be the perfect spot to grab a beer and study for an hour or two after class. The bar has a wide variety of beer, and while they don't have a cocktail menu, they do have a couple of shots and affordable prices on cold drinks. If you go during happy hour, you could grab a well drink or a domestic beer for $2, and Tecates or Lone Stars are only $3.

Though the bar starts quiet, don't plan for it to stay that way through the night. A little later into the evening, the bar starts to garner up a bigger crowd, especially during their trivia nights and on weekends. While the happy hour only lasts until 8 p.m., the bar runs nightly specials which are constantly bringing in a crowd looking for some of the favorites at an inexpensive price.

On Tuesdays, when Geeks Who Drink starts at 8 p.m., you could come for a pre-trivia happy hour drink, and then stay for the game while the bar runs specials like $4.50 for Texas whiskey or $3.50 for a Shiner. Monday, another game night, has specials on Jack and all pints. Then, for your Sunday Funday needs, Stout House has a bloody mary bar and a $10 beer bucket perfect for groups looking to catch a game.

Happy hour runs from noon to 8 p.m., and then has daily drink specials.

11851 Bandera Road, Suite 119, (210) 637-9094.
