Get Ready to Rumble at Third Annual San Antonio Food Truck Showdown

The best of San Antonio's food truck scene are set to go head to head this Saturday at the city's highly-anticipated food truck showdown.

With cuisines ranging from street tacos and desserts to old school diner fare, there's plenty to snack on at this showdown. Now in its third year, eight trucks will take part in hope of being this year's champion.

The Box Street Social is the current title holder, but maybe one of the other trucks will dethrone the two-time winner. Benjies Munch (which recently opened up a permanent shop), Guerrilla Gourmet, TheGypsyDiner, Lady Picoza, Curb Food Truck, Rock On Wheels SA and Mr. Meximum hope to do just that.

You can still purchase tickets, which will get you a sample from each of the trucks, a cold pint of Alamo Beer (which is hosting the event), a voting ballot to be used toward your fave truck and a souvenir cup. Of course, there will be vendors, music and more beer to be enjoyed all day long.

$10-25, Saturday, October 28, 11 am-4:30 pm, Alamo Beer, 202 Lamar Street, (210) 872-5589.
