Though details haven't been hammered out yet, we might not have to wait for rehab at Chris Madrid's
to wrap before we get our hands on another macho burger. It looks like the San Antonio burger staple might pop-up in a temporary location.
In a lengthy post shared by management, the restaurant warned it might be a while before the restaurant reopens again, saying "While a lot of issues are still to be resolved, one thing is certain. Reopening Chris Madrid’s will not be easy, or quick. We WILL re-open – you can write that down. But, it is now very apparent that it will be late spring of 2018 at the earliest before we do."
But there's hope: "We’re still working to finalize our plans, but we fully intend and expect to re-open in a few weeks at a fun, temporary location."
Richard Peacock, one of the new owners of Chris Madrid's, said a more concrete plan may be in place within the week, via email.
Chris Madrid, which opened in 1978, suffered fire damage last month.
