The International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is serving up free short stacks of pancakes in honor of National Pancake Day.

Although the holiday (what else would you call it?) isn't technically until Sunday, March 4, IHOP is celebrating today. Until 7 p.m., you can visit a participating IHOP location and enjoy a free short stack of the Original Buttermilk Pancakes.

While the pancakes are technically free, a donation to help children battling critical illnesses is encouraged. Since launching the National Pancake Day campaign in 2006, IHOP has helped raise $30 million to help these kids.
