Do you love queso? Do you hate cancer? The fifth annual Queso Bowl at the Social Spot, presented by the Young Texans Against Cancer-San Antonio, lets you merge the two. The organization, which brings cancer awareness to folks between the ages of 22 and 45, supports beneficiaries who help patients pay their bills, along with research and development. This year’s event will feature Coopers Meat Market, La Frite Belgian Bistro, El Mirador, Smoke Shack, Maverick Texas Brasserie, OrderUp and Stone Werks dishing out creamy queso, while Led Zeppelin cover band Mothership provides the tunes. This dog-friendly and kid-friendly event will also include a canine costume contest, patio games and a tortilla-throwing contest.

$15-$60, Thu May 3, 5:30-9:30pm, Social Spot, 930 Broadway,(210) 263-9009, sanantonio.ytac.org/queso-bowl.
