, which has added a new vegan tenant to the mix.
Hip Peaz Vegan Eats
launched this January as part of the Vegan Stop Shop monthly vegan market held at Brick. Opened on Monday by Leah Drones and Javier Balderas, Hip Peaz Vegan Eats will feature house-made vegan meats like corned beef, ham, beet patties, along with frozen shrimp (not made in the shop, but hauled from Houston).
Hip Peaz will feature a specials board (as kitchen space is limited), and will feature hits from previous markets including a sushi burrito made with Panko-crusted shrimp, "crasian" or unagi sauce, avocado, marinated mushrooms, green and red onion, cucumber kimchi and corn; and their po'boy with kimchi slaw, tomatoes, Panko-crusted shrimp, "crasian" sauce and a side of tortilla chips with KSoGood vegan queso.
Prices vary from $3 for a patty and $12 for a frozen ham.
Hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday for the opening week.
