Mozzarella, the delicious Italian cheese that jewels all great Caprese salads, is best served fresh. On Friday, June 29, cheese lovers will have the opportunity to learn how to make their own from 6 to 8 p.m. at Taste Elevated in Castroville.
The Cultured Host Julia McClure will appropriately be hosting an all inclusive instructional class on how to make ovalini, large balls of mozzarella, and bocconcini, smaller knots perfect on their own or in refreshing summer salads and pasta dishes.
Everyone will be working with four pounds of mozzarella curd, so by the end of it all your upper arms should be nicely toned. After the class, you might want to call your friends for a Saturday dinner party, because you will be going home with 4 to 6 glorious containers of cheese.
