Bandera Road has a new shack joint as of Sunday, July 1 and it's bringing a little bit of Mexico along with it.

Frida's Corner, owned by husband and wife Alfredo Cruz and Paola Flores, serves up smoothies, smoothie bowls, ice cream and popsicles, and fruit-infused drinks alongside a few spicy concoctions.

Ice cream is made locally by Helados Aranda, while the couple brings recipes from their own home for acai, mango and matcha smoothie bowls. On the drink side, refreshers are served with fresh fruit, and kombucha, rusas, cold brew, water and sodas are offered.

You won't find Frito Pie here, but you will find, Tostitos preparados, Tostilocos, chicharrones, conchitas and corn in a cup. A portion of the menu is devoted to Frida's Favorite with bionico fruit salad, strawberries and cream and fruit cups rounding out the list.

Frida's Corner is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.
