San Antonio Pets Alive, Chipotle Partner for One-day, City-wide Fundraiser

We know, Chipotle is your guilty pleasure Mexican(ish) food. But on Thursday, July 19, you can enjoy your chicken, black beans, and guac (yes, we know it's extra) guilt-free.

On the day in question, the chain will donate 50 percent of all local sales to San Antonio Pets Alive (SAPA). The local nonprofit organization is responsible for saving more than 40,000 dogs and cats from being euthanized since 2012.

All you have to do is mention the fundraiser at the register, and half of your cash will go directly to the program's mission of preventing animals at risk of euthanasia in kill shelters. The San Antonio-based organization achieves this by establishing foster and adoption programs, kitten nurseries and medical clinics.

Burritos for the animals are burritos we can get behind — even if they aren't exactly mom & pop.
