Just a few weeks after Tre Enoteca's last day of service, we finally have a name for the restaurant that will replace it.
Meadow Neighborhood Eatery and Bar, a concept by PJ Edwards and wife Lindsey Edwards, will open this September with "seasonal-Texas-Southern fare," according to a press release. The menu will feature "freshly ground burgers, fried chicken and charcoal grilled ribeye, as well as vegan/vegetarian options including fresh grilled okra and stewed field peas," along with "unique desserts like the peach calzone." A Sunday brunch is also in the pipeline.
It's a coming home of sorts for PJ who worked at Bin 555 with chef Jason Dady for four years before leaving to South Carolina's McCrady's under chef Sean Brock, and eventually returning to Texas to hold several positions at Contigo in Austin. Fans of Dady will recognize Lindsey, who has held management positions with the Jason Dady Restaurant Group for several years.
San Antonians will have a chance to taste Meadows fare with two upcoming pop-ups at Cullum's Attagirl on July 23 and August 6 at 6 p.m.
